Artur Kawa is a co-founder of Harvent Capital, and its Managing Partner.

He started his business adventure on June 15, 1990 when he got involved in the wholesale of food products. Then came supermarkets, real estate development and management, and IT. Over the years, he has consistently developed Emperia, inviting new partners and shareholders to get involved.
In 2002, together with the Enterprise Investors Fund, he brought about the public offering of Emperia shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and in 2006, carried out the largest merger in the wholesale industry with BOS, a company from Białystok.

In 2011, Emperia sold its distribution section to Eurocash, focusing on the development of Stokrotka supermarkets and IT.

In 2018, Emperia found a new investor: Lithuanian trading group Maxima, which purchased 100% of the company’s shares in a public tender offer with equal treatment for all shareholders.

He is a graduate of the Lublin University of Technology and the Executive MBA programme of the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Minnesota.

Throughout the years, Artur Kawa has not only gained enormous business experience, but also the reputation of an ethical entrepreneur. He knows like no other how to attract talented managers and employees. He also has the skill of wining over the business partners who entrust him with the responsibility for their money with full confidence.
